Registration for the 2011 spring season of the Junior Team Tennis League will be held at the Rancho Calaveras Clubhouse tennis courts until 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20. Fee is $ 65 per child and $ 40 for second child. First 30 new participants to sign up receive a free junior racquet.

Question by Andrew D: career advice: videography :i want to shoot, edit, and/or assist produce at a news station how do i get in?
So Im 28 with some college in music education but what i really want to do is video production. i want to do it as a business (music,weddings corporate) but i want a solid job with benefits and to do my business as a side thing. My brother works as a editor (and former sports anchor) and has been at it for 14 years he has a degree in broadcast journalism. I want to be behind the scenes (shooting editing producing) i have learned alot on my own in all three areas but i have no formal education or experience in it. my bro says camera men are always needed to shoot and edit footage but i need to know how to break in. whether there is some on th job training or what type of program to take at college (video production, b.c. journalism 2 or 4 years) i have no ambitions to be in front of the camera. so if anyon has an idea please let me know. also if you have any other ideas about how to get solid, non-freelance work in these areas. i dont want to get richjust make like 30-40k a year thanx

Videography Tips from the Professionals

Creating videos or “videography” is a process from photography.  When you are trying to take fantastic pictures for a portrait, or candid photography, you think in terms of a still picture.  In your mind the goal is “what would make a fantastic photograph.”

Video opens up whole scenes to be captured on film, for better and for worse.  But it also opens up a lot of opportunity for mistakes, unexpected results or interruptions and surprises.  Not only do you have to continue to think about what makes a fantastic picture, you now have sound and movement issues to factor in.  So while videography is much more fun, it also can be a lot more work.
