Q&A: Can a Navy or Army football player not join the service?

Question by bama boy24: Can a Navy or Army football player not join the service?
Just curious from watching navy the other day can a someone just go to a service academy for football or any other sport and if they change their mind about joining the military are they allowed to just transfer even if they signed the pledge papers thanks. For example if you ran the triple option in HS and were good could navy recruit you.
