I love watching high school football. I did a year as an official…it wasn’t for me, but I’d love to stay involved. How does one become a football scout? Not pro level…beginner. Straight out of the box, how do you even start? I’m 40 years old and have a degree. I live in Northern Virginia. I just want to know what it takes.

Like scouting for a college? Find a college who is hiring – probably have to call a bunch of colleges. If you live in Northern Virginia, try UVA, VA Tech, JMU, Maryland and Delaware
