How good do you have to be? Do kids from high school teams get tennis scholarships? Also, how do you apply for one?

By itself, playing on a high school team usually tells a college-level coach little or nothing about a player. However, if you won a state singles tournament, or played #1 or #2 singles for a state-champion or a state runner-up team, that would certainly have some impact. It also depends on what state you’re from. States like New York, California, Florida are much deeper in terms of talent than many other states.
