Q&A: What is the best way to get a high school football player recruited by colleges?

Question by C J: What is the best way to get a high school football player recruited by colleges?

We’ve been told much was being taken care of by the coaching staff at his school, but, I don’t think that’s the case. He is a senior and their season just ended. He’s made the all Metro team in our area and has been told he’s made all state first team. We have many newspaper articles etc, along with all the pertinent stats and he is also good academically.
Where do we begin? I’ve found some services that assist, but, they’re outrageously priced.

Are High School Football Recruiting Services worth the money ?

Question by HS Baller: Are High School Football Recruiting Services worth the money ?
I’m a 10th grader who has played on the Freshman and VJ teams and will move to Varsity in my Junior year however I have not received any letters from colleges so I am considering using a service to circulate my tape and get my name out. It this a wise investment or it this something that I can either do myself as the services charge between 1 – 2k
Any advice from those experienced in the recruiting process would be helpful.
